Your Majesty,
Clemency for a Disabled Prisoner in Pokok Sena Prison
I came to be aware of an urgent matter involving a prisoner currently residing in Pokok Senan Prison, Kedah. This prisoner, Thanakorn Sinsanoi (body number: 3-13-04073 KPS) was a drug mule convicted for drug trafficking in 2013.
Since her arrest in 2013, Thanakorn has contracted tuberculosis (TB) twice in detention. She suffered from complications leading to her being paralysed neck-down (also known as quadriplegia). As she has been resentenced to life imprisonment of 30 years, she will still be imprisoned for more than a decade despite her deteriorating health.
Her doctors in prison have noted that she has no control of her body from the waist down and retained limited control of her hands. She also had a colostomy bag attached to her due to her health conditions. She is presently detained within the confines of the prison clinic.
I am appealing on her behalf for clemency. With her present state, she is no longer a threat to society and deserves a chance to live with appropriate healthcare and support.
Yours sincerely,
[YOUR NAME]
