HAYAT Welcomes Stay of Execution for Pannir Selvam, Urges Cross-Border Cooperation

HAYAT welcome the news of a stay of execution for Pannir Selvam on the eve of his scheduled execution. The stay of execution was granted in conjunction with his legal challenge filed earlier yesterday, 19 February.

The stay of execution gives time for investigations by the Royal Malaysian Police into Pannir’s information. We hope this would be an opportunity for Malaysia and Singapore to develop a platform for cooperation in tackling drug trafficking syndicates and operations.

HAYAT extend our appreciation to all parties who have contributed tirelessly to assist and support the cause.
